    Default Field.setEmptyText() does not apply the empty text

    Hey,

    If I want to change the empty text of a field dynamically if I go field.setEmptyText(text) it is not immediately applied. If I go:

    field.setEmptyText(text);
    if (field.getValue() == null) {
    field.setValue(null);
    field.clearInvalid();
    }

    to force the empty text to be applied then I get the validation highlight flashing.

    Can Field.setEmptyText(String emptyText) be changed so that it is applied immediately.

    Thanks,
    From Richard

    I can't find such a method. I think it doesn't exist. Where did you find it?

    com.extjs.gxt.ui.client.widget.form.Field.setEmptyText(String)

    I'm using GXT 1.1
