    Default [2.x] Possible bug - Javascript Crash

    Hello,

    I don't know it this is a bug or not, but I try to report it.

    I have Ext.form.TriggerField(msgTarget:'elementid',{autoCreate:{value:'1'}}). If msgTarget is created immediately after this control, javascript crashes because a target node is not found.

    The error is triggered by the clearInvalid function, called by initValue.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    your triggerfield constructor looks weird.
    Code:
    msgTarget:'elementid',{autoC reate:{value:'1'}}
    that's not even a valid object.

    could you post a complete test case demonstrating the issue?

    Read the docs on Ext.form.Field and Ext.DomHelper.

    That code creates a <DIV> as the TriggerField's element. There is no value attribute of <DIV>

    So they the TriggerField is using a DIV throughout.

    You can find all this out simply by debugging on the error instead of throwing your hands up in despair.
