    Default Ajax.request with auto-update

    Hi out there,

is there a way to make update-AJAX-calls which are not bound to an Ext.Element (like Ext.Updater)?

I just want to call a web-server, retrieve some data and want to modify some non-Ext.Elemtent objects ...

    Thanks!

Just combine Ext.TaskMgr.run with an Ext.Ajax.request.

Okay, that works ... could you tell me how to stop a special task? Do I need to call the stop-method with the task-object as parameter which was returned by the start-method?
