Default <SELECT> in a grid without locked columns. or custom renderer?

I am using the struts <html: select> tag in the ext grid. However when i try and click on the select boxes it disappears again and i get an error that el has no properties from firebug. Or i cant get the box to appear at all in firefox after its been clicked once when the row has selection.

If i use locked:true on the column then it works but then i dont get any scrollbars.

Because our legacy code uses struts its easier to try and integrate with what we already have rather than custom renderers.

If a custom renderer is the only way, will this work with the struts side. Essentially all it outputs is a basic select box with id's etc. If the custom renderer combo box will do this then It should be fine to use.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Greg.

    Default

Im doing this with the from-markup example.

Ive even tried adding the select box as an extra column here and it doesnt work. Is there anyway i can get select boxes to work properly in a grid. I dont think the render is really an option.

    Thanks
