Code completion triggers automatically if you have the javascript file included in your project. Are you using the minified version of extjs (ext-all.js) ? Code completion would be more accurate if you also have the ext-all-debug.js included in your project.

You can also set a reference to ext-all-debug.js manually, follow the steps in this post: http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthrea...787#post322787

ExtJS documentation is not compatible with standard js doc comments and netbeans doesn't know how to process them (nor do other IDEs, I believe).

EDIT: it may have worked with Aptana as it specifically added extjs support

thanks for your reply. I the past i worked with Aptana, but Aptana 2.0 has dropped their own PHP-Plugin and for me its now unusable...

Netbeans looks great, but it were nice to have the full documentation of the framework available. The steps in the post http://www.extjs.com/forum/showthrea...787#post322787 dont work for me.
I cant add a news library to netbeas, the buttons are disabled.

I am working with the PHP-Edition of NetBeans, perhaps there is it not possible to add libraries?

Add powerful plugins and ready-to-use runtimes for Ruby on Rails, Python and PHP. Eclipse users can easily add Studio as a plugin.
