It's on the roadmap. Nice example though.
that is pretty neat
Nice,
it's in the Roadmap for 3.2

Yes, I've seen "Mobile Components" on the roadmap, anyway, is it something like that jQTouch?

I did some tests a few months back trying to create a page for joomla using extjs, I didnt have any problems actually worked out good. I scrapped the idea went another route.

That is slick!

I'm sure by now that you know that ExtJS has hired the guy who created jQTouch. Look at the Team page on the web site
Sure would be nice though to get a thread started on exactly what is going to be in these components. I was never interested in learning to write Native iPhone apps that would only work on the iPhone as many corporate clients have other smart phone types. HTML, CSS, and JS is the way to go imho.
It would be incredible if ExtJS gives us the ability to write smart-phone, ajax enabled apps using ExtJS components that can do things like use new store objects that will hit local DBs using the new HTML 5 specs. If so, we could run apps on the smart phones that would work in a disconnected state, then reconnect to sync up. And this could happen automatically as HTML 5 support connection state events.
Also, new tablet devices will be flooding the market soon enough which will provide increased screen space, which really should bring all the "normal" ExtJS components back into play when designing mobile apps for these devices. At that point, we can finally develop mobile business apps that are actually usable in the field.
Cool stuff, but I'm just theorizing here...be nice if we actually had a team member pencil in a few of their ideas surrounding these components![]()
Yeah, I've started this thread for reasons you summarize in your post. Cannot wait for a devel team response...
