I'm having the this error on Fedora 12 64 bits:

bin/ExtDesigner.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    Any idea?

    Try

    Code:
    sudo yum install openssl
On the linux builds, the OpenSSL runtime is required. It's extremely easy to install on all distributions (evidenced above). It's typically installed by default on Desktop versions of distros, but not necessarily all others.

But I already have OpenSSL instaled on my machine, this is not the problem.
I was searching for this error on forum and I found that this problem will be solved on next release.

    Thanks.

Our dependency on glibc 2.10 is being fixed in the next release, but openssl (more precisely, libcrypto 0.9.8) is a required library. Your error indicates that libcrypto 0.9.8 is not installed on your system. If you run ls -l /lib/libcrypto* what do you see? Is libcrypto.so.0.9.8 in the list?

    Hi uzielgl,

You need to run the shell script "ExtDesigner", not the .bin directly. The shell script sets up shared library pathing so that the .so files are found in the correct location.

    Hope that helps.
