Default How do I create a VerticalPanel that is 'anchored' to the browser?

I tried to create a VerticalPanel in a manner similar to Flex (thus far, my only RIA GUI experience :-( )...by setting its height and width to 100%. This didn't work since the horizontal (width) dimension was ignored and the horizontal scroll bar of the browser appeared. I tried several other guesses to no avail. Seems like I'm getting off to a rocky start here...

Can someone answer this obvious noob question as if I were an actual human being that has dignity and respects others?

    thanks,
    Jorel2.

YOu should not use a VerticalPanel as it is based on a table.

Use a Viewport with a VBoxLayout.
