With more than 20 speakers, a whole day pre-conference training and multiple workshops focusing on the Sencha framework and web development, we have a few good reasons for you to attend this year’s Ext JS conference: Sencha Community Days 2019 in Karlsruhe, Germany!

General Manager, Atanas Popov from Sencha, an Idera, Inc. Company, will be joining the conference and giving the keynote presentation. You’ll get a glimpse at industry trends and the forward-looking vision for Sencha Products. Along with Product Architects and Engineers from Sencha, you’ll have a chance to talk and discuss directly with the framework maintainers, share your feedback, and learn new tips and tricks during the conference.

In addition, we have a stellar speaker lineup of customers, partners and tech experts that will present various topics across two different tracks (Sencha and Dev) — leave no questions open! You will also have the opportunity to ask questions at our Community Event Night, which will include networking with Sencha engineers, executives, customers and peers!

In addition to our full day pre-conference training where we will investigate the MVVM-architecture of Sencha Applications, we also have 4 workshops for you: Theming, Testing, Referencing Components and Modular Architecture of Sencha Applications.

Theming

The theming workshop is a 4 hour workshop presented by Manuel Künstler and Jan Mohr. They are both design and Ext JS experts who will introduce you to CSSing and SASSing your applications. They will also cover best practices for creating your own themes for your applications.

Testing

In this 4 hour workshop, Thorsten Suckow-Homberg will introduce you to writing tests for your Ext JS applications, and will share different approaches you can take to ensure your code works as expected and for the long-term. This is a hands-on workshop where you will create and execute unit and functional tests for your Ext JS components, as well as end-to-end tests for your applications.

Referencing Ext JS components

Nils Dehl from dkd Internet will show you how to properly reference Ext JS components in your applications to make sure they’re accessible during the runtime of your software. You’ll also learn about the secrets of component queries and how to properly use their syntax.

Package Agnostic Architecture

As the holy grail of software development, decoupling components ensures your application is maintainable and testable to a large degree. This workshop takes you one step further and investigates ways to confirm your entire application is decoupled and pluggable, without breaking functionality when adding, removing or changing packages which serve as application modules.
