Sencha Appoints Kristin Brennan as Vice President of Marketing
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., November 24, 2014 — Sencha, a leading provider of HTML5 desktop and mobile application development technology, today announced that Kristin Brennan has joined the company as vice president of marketing, bringing two decades of experience in enterprise software marketing to her new role. As a member of the Sencha executive team, Brennan will play a key role in supporting Sencha's mission to deliver the ideal platform for designing, developing and deploying applications on any device, platform or browser.
“Kristin is an ideal choice to drive awareness in the enterprise for HTML5 and Sencha as the obvious choices for designing, deploying and managing enterprise apps on any device, platform or operating system,” said Art Landro, CEO of Sencha. “In the last year we have made significant investments in our core products to simplify our customers' application development processes and Kristin will play a critical role in defining our new unified development approach and bringing it to market.”
Previously, Brennan spent four years at Coverity (acquired by Synopsys), a development testing company, where she led the demand generation and product marketing for their commercial and open source solutions. Prior to that, Brennan held leadership roles in product marketing, partner marketing, developer marketing and product management at HP in the software division, where she focused on automation, application management and web services software.
“With the explosion of mobile devices, platforms and operating systems, and the resulting IT challenge of securely giving employees access to apps and data they need to do their jobs, on any of their screens, Sencha has a huge opportunity to redefine application development,” said Kristin Brennan, vice president of marketing, Sencha. “Rather than developing for a specific form factor or screen, we are empowering developers, business executives and CIOs with a unified approach to designing, deploying and managing high performance, business critical apps on the right screen at the right time from a single code base. I am enormously excited to bring that message and that unified platform to our customers, prospects and the market.”
