It sounds very nice that you develop an app for different platforms and they will run there by early 2011. You never talk about the ecosystem around it like will there be any store to sell apps, how can you protect them from piracy etc.

Would like to hear more about the offline support. I’m just starting to get into mobile web development and this the only real issue I see standing in the way of mobile web being a replacement for native apps.

“Mobile is Not a Small Desktop”. Nor are mobile users small desktop users

The motivation for building dedicated mobile experiences goes well beyond the physical capabilities or constraints of the devices. Users in the mobile context expect & need to be able to do different things - or at least differently prioritized things.

The great thing about native apps is that they completely disrupted people’s expectations of what they could do with, or get from, their mobile devices, and showed that if a service or interface is ‘made for mobile’ from the start, it can be an absolutely awesome experience.

Now the scene is set for the pendulum to swing back towards web technology being the ubiquitous enabler, but with these new expectations and design paradigms (from the native app portfolio) healthily in its sights.

Exciting times!
